Two Reasons to Establish a
Positive Graphic Image
Imagine for a moment that you drive up to a McDonalds’ and the golden arches are no longer golden, they’re green. Plus the Arches are no longer arched they’re squared off just like a typical letter ‘M’. Would you still feel like you’re driving into a McDonalds?
McDonalds has done a great job over the years implanting that image in our minds, but you may be asking yourself how can a small business imitate what McDonalds has done? There are two questions that we need to analyze, why does a small business need to establish a positive Graphic Image? And how does a small business establish a positive Graphic Image?
The number one reason why a small business needs to establish a positive Graphic Image is because it’s the company’s first impression to their potential new customer. How important are first impressions? Don’t first impressions guide us in our buying decisions? Don’t you always want to make a positive first impression? Then, what is your Graphic Image saying about your business? Did you make your business card on a whim? Are you printing your brochures off of a poor quality copier and in black and white? Is the logo utilized the same way in all of your graphic marketing, advertising and online sources? Are your color schemes and images used the same throughout? Just ask yourself, does McDonald’s use different shades of yellow on their arches?
Another reason why a small business needs to establish a positive Graphic Image is because it increases their professionalism. Don’t you want your future customer to believe that you are dedicated to your business and that you will provide them with the best possible service or product? Many of you may be looking to improve or create a positive Graphic Image, but how does a small business begin to establish this type of image?
